TAIPEI, TAIWAN / MENA Newswire / — NVIDIA unveiled RTX Spark, a new superchip platform for Windows PCs built for personal AI agents, at NVIDIA GTC Taipei, with Microsoft joining the launch through Windows integration and Surface hardware. The companies said RTX Spark powers the first Windows PCs built specifically for personal agents, combining local AI processing, NVIDIA graphics technology and up to 128GB of unified memory for laptops and compact desktop computers.

RTX Spark combines an NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU with 6,144 CUDA cores, fifth generation Tensor Cores using FP4 precision and a 20 core NVIDIA Grace CPU connected through NVIDIA NVLink C2C. MediaTek collaborated with NVIDIA on the custom Arm based CPU design. NVIDIA said the platform delivers up to 1 petaflop of AI performance and brings CUDA, RTX, DLSS, TensorRT, OptiX, Reflex and G SYNC technologies into a single Windows PC platform.

NVIDIA and Microsoft said they are collaborating on a native Windows experience for personal agents, using new Windows security primitives and the NVIDIA OpenShell runtime. The system is designed to support identity, containment, policy controls and end to end security for agents running on primary devices. NVIDIA said OpenShell adds policy tools for user controls, routing queries to local models under privacy rules and disguising personal information in cloud bound queries.

Local AI moves onto Windows PCs

NVIDIA listed creator, developer and gaming workloads for RTX Spark PCs, including rendering 90GB and larger 3D scenes, editing 12K 4:2:2 video, generating 4K AI video and running 120 billion parameter large language models with up to 1 million tokens of context. The company also said RTX Spark systems support AAA games at 1440p resolution at more than 100 frames per second with ray tracing, DLSS and Reflex.

Adobe is reworking Photoshop and Premiere for RTX Spark, with NVIDIA saying the updates will deliver up to twice the AI, editing, coloring and effects performance across creative workflows. Adobe Premiere is being built to use RTX Spark unified memory, Blackwell GPU resources and TensorRT software. Adobe Substance 3D Painter and Stager are also set to run natively on RTX Spark, while Photoshop will be optimized for GPU accelerated compositing, live filters and modern brush tools.

Surface joins the RTX Spark lineup

Microsoft announced Surface Laptop Ultra as its first Surface laptop built with an NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU, up to 128GB of unified memory and full CUDA support. Microsoft said the device can deliver 1 petaflop of AI compute and run models with up to 120 billion parameters locally. The laptop includes a 15 inch mini LED PixelSense Ultra touchscreen with up to 2,000 nits of peak HDR brightness, 262 pixels per inch, HDMI, USB C, USB A, SD card and headphone ports.

RTX Spark laptops and compact desktops are scheduled to be available this fall from ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft Surface and MSI, with Acer and GIGABYTE models to follow. NVIDIA said laptop designs will span 14 inch to 16 inch systems, with some configurations as slim as 14 millimeters and as light as three pounds. Microsoft said Surface Laptop Ultra will be available later this year, subject to regulatory certification and regional product variation.
